Happy Halloween

We had a fun end of October this year, first celebrating my dad's birthday by going to a UW Husky football game, and then a couple days later, celebrating Halloween. It was on a Monday this year, so Claudia's daycare had a festival in the afternoon and then we went to Grandpa and Grandma's for Trick or Treating in their neighborhood. Claudia was pretty tired by the time we got around to going house to house, but she definitely understood the concept of candy this year. She has her "candy pumpkin" (stored on top of the refrigerator) and she gets one piece a day, although we've almost run out already because Glen & I like to have a piece too.

Claudia's new favorite thing is her stool. It's a little pink stool that we got to help her up on the potty. We've now taught her to use it to turn on lights and climb up on our bed (i.e. the big bed). She really enjoys the new tasks she can do and is always running around the house with the stool. She is also able to climb up into her carseat on her own, although she's not always up for the challenge. She really swings back and forth between wanting to be a big girl and a baby. She saw the dentist for her 2.5 year old check-up and she's finally getting in her last baby tooth, number 20. She was so good for the hygienist and let her polish her teeth and put fluoride on them.

Grandma carved Claudia a pumpkin. Claudia thought the guts were yucky, but she enjoyed the finished product.
